Deborah (Gustafson) Hoxie is a Certified and Registered Yoga Teacher, E-RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance and a graduate of Kind Yoga School on Cape Cod. She's a Certified Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher, guides Breathwork and practices Reiki.
Her studies have taken her to advanced studies in Ayurveda - the sister science of Yoga - and she is a Certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor through
Kripalu's School of Ayurveda.
Deb has a passion for sharing a wonderfully relaxing yoga class at sunset in the summer months. The classes allow you to bridge the transition between work and home which can help bring a sense of calm and peace home with you after a busy day.
In addition to summer sunset yoga, Deb teaches various forms of Hatha Yoga including Beginners and Intermediate, Gentle & Moderate Yoga, Relaxation and Restorative Yoga, Yoga Flows,Yoga Nidra and Yin Yoga. She is active in Yoga Neighborhood's Community Yoga. Deb is available for private as well as one-on-one classes and also teaches public classes regularly throughout the mid-Cape area. Deb first started practicing yoga and meditation more than twenty-five years ago and has been developing her individual practice ever since. For Deb, yoga has been an important tool in the process of connecting to her own physical, mental, and emotional strength, and she seeks to share the gifts of yoga, meditation, mindfulness and Ayurveda with all those interested.
While believing fully in the power of your breath and the present moment, Deb encourages her students to actively participate in their own personal practice. By instructing students to engage their breath with each movement throughout the class, she encourages each student to connect to their own inner strength.
